Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is seeking entries for Digital Alchemy: Transforming Pixels into Emotions, a virtual group exhibition open to women and non-binary artists. Entries are curated by Willea Zwey. Artists may submit up to three works plus an artist statement related to the exhibition theme. ALL accepted works with statements will be viewable online.

EXHIBITION DESCRIPTION: This exhibition focuses on the emotional impact of digital art. Artists experiment with digital tools to evoke feelings, sensations, and narratives. The show can feature multimedia installations, audiovisual experiences, and emotionally immersive digital artworks.

In alignment with the theme of the exhibition, the juror is keen to see how artists leverage digital tools to enrich the narratives in their artworks. She is interested in understanding in their works how these tools have altered or enhanced the dynamics of their creative thinking and process, and why this is crucial for expressing the value of their identity and practice as artists.

This virtual exhibition is open to artwork in all media that has not been previously exhibited at WMG.

WMG offers fee waivers to those that request the need and upon approved application. WMG offers 30 fee waivers in total. To acknowledge the historic inequities of wealth distribution, 20 of the 30 are exclusively reserved for ALAANA/BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+. Factors that result in an approved application include financial instability or low income status, student or recent graduate status, identification as ALAANA/BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+, or a demonstrated need otherwise. WMG accepts Fee Waiver Request forms on a rolling basis until all fee waivers have been distributed. Please email WMG at general@womanmade.org to request a fee waiver.
